Emami Realty Equity Shares Delisted from Calcutta Stock Exchange Effective November 10, 2025
Emami Realty Completes Voluntary Delisting from Calcutta Stock Exchange
Emami Realty Limited completed the voluntary delisting of its equity shares from the Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) with effect from November 10, 2025. The board approved the voluntary delisting in August 2025, following a formal process compliant with SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Continued Access on National Exchanges
The delisting from CSE does not interrupt investor access to Emami Realty shares. The shares continue to be listed and traded on BSE and NSE, which have nationwide terminals. This means trading and liquidity remain available to shareholders through the country's primary stock exchanges.
Context for the Regional Exchange
The Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE), one of India's oldest financial institutions, has officially initiated the process for a voluntary exit as a stock exchange, with the board filing an application with SEBI to surrender its recognition. SEBI suspended the exchange's trading platform, C-STAR, in April 2013, citing the exchange's inability to comply with operational norms. Since that suspension, CSE, founded in 1908, is one of India's oldest bourses. Trading at CSE was suspended by SEBI in April 2013 due to regulatory non-compliance. After years of efforts to revive operations and contest SEBI directives in courts, the exchange has now decided to back out of the business and seek a voluntary exit from its stock exchange licence.
As a result, voluntary delistings from CSE have become routine for listed companies seeking to reduce administrative overhead while maintaining market access through larger exchanges.
